Kaspersky Endpoint Security 12.8 for Windows

Activating Light Agent

If Kaspersky Endpoint Security is being used in Light Agent mode for protecting virtual environments, you do not need to activate the application separately. To activate the application, you must add a license key to the SVM. You can add a license key using the special task in the Kaspersky Security Center console. You cannot manage license keys in the Light Agent interface, however, you can view license information (see the figure below). You can also view Light Agent licensing information on the command line (see the instructions below). Light Agent gets this information from SVM. For details about activating the solution and managing license keys, see the Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent Help.

To view Light Agent licensing information:

  1. Run the command line interpreter (cmd) as an administrator.
  2. Go to the folder where the Kaspersky Endpoint Security executable file is located.
  3. Run the following command:

    avp.com LICENSE /CHECK

As a result, Kaspersky Endpoint Security displays license information: address of the SVM to which the Light Agent is connected, the number of days until the license expires, and other information.
