Verifying the authenticity of the installation package

The Digital signature of installation files is missing application installation error may occur if the digital signature of an installation package is corrupted or invalid. If this error occurs, check the authenticity of the installation package.

To verify the authenticity of an installation package:

  1. Right-click the installation file (setup.exe) to open its context menu. Select Properties.
  2. In the Properties window that opens, on the Digital Signatures tab, select Kaspersky Lab and click the Details button.

    If the Digital Signatures tab cannot be found in the Properties window, this means that the digital signature of the installation package file is corrupted. You are advised to not use the installation package in this case. Contact Technical Support.

  3. You can find the digital signature in the Digital Signature Details window that opens, on the General tab. Make sure that it is valid.
    • If the digital signature is invalid, this means that the installation package has been modified. You are advised to not use the installation package in this case. Contact Technical Support.
    • If the digital signature of the installation package is valid, run the Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints Setup Wizard again.
