Restoring or deleting files from Quarantine

It is not recommended to restore files from Quarantine, since they may be a threat to your computer.

Before a file is deleted or disinfected, the application places a backup copy of the file in Quarantine. You can restore or delete files from Quarantine.

Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints does not disinfect Windows Store apps. If scanning results indicate that such an app is dangerous, it is deleted from your computer.

When a Windows Store app is deleted, Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints does not create a backup copy of it. To restore such objects, you must use the recovery tools included with the operating system (for detailed information, see the documentation for the operating system that is installed on your computer) or update apps via the Windows Store.

To restore or delete files from Quarantine:

  1. in the context menu of the application icon located in the taskbar notification area, select the Open Kaspersky Fraud Prevention for Endpoints item.

    The main application window opens.

  2. Click the Quarantine link in the right part of the main application window to open the Quarantine window.
  3. In the list, select one or more files and perform one of the following actions:
    • If you want to restore the selected files, click the Restore button.
    • If you want to delete the selected files, click the Delete button.

    If you want to delete all files from Quarantine, click the Delete all files button.

  4. In the dialog box that appears, confirm that you want to restore or delete files from Quarantine.

The selected files are restored or removed from Quarantine.
