Viewing objects related to nodes on the topology map
For nodes representing known devices on the topology map, you can view the objects associated with them, such as events, tags, risks, or the devices represented by the selected nodes. Information about related objects is loaded in the corresponding sections of the application web interface.
The capability to load information is available if no more than 200 nodes representing known devices are selected.
To view information about objects related to the selected nodes:
On the topology map, select one or multiple objects representing nodes of known devices.
To select multiple nodes, perform one of the following actions:
Hold down the SHIFT key and use your mouse to select a rectangular area containing the relevant objects.
Hold down the CTRL key and use your mouse to select the relevant objects.
The details area appears in the right part of the web interface window. The details area shows the total number of selected nodes while also indicating how many of these nodes belong to each type.
If the selected nodes belong to different types or categories of devices, you can exclude certain types of nodes (for example, nodes of unmanaged switches) or categories (for example, PLC). To do so, clear the check box next to the name of the category or type.
Depending on which details you want to load, click one of the following buttons (the buttons are unavailable if the total number of known devices in the selection exceeds 200):
Show events – if you want to view events with any status.
Show unprocessed events – if you want to view events with the New or In progress status.
Show tags.
Show risks.
Show device – if one node is selected.
Show devices – if multiple nodes are selected.
The corresponding section of the application web interface opens. The table will be filtered to display the relevant information.
