Privacy Protection window
To open the Privacy Protection window:
- Open the main application window.
- In the main application window, click the
button.
The Privacy Protection window consists of two sections:
- Block webcam. Use this section to prevent applications from using the webcam on your Mac. When Kaspersky Internet Security blocks your webcam, the title of this section changes to Webcam is blocked.
- Block website tracking. Use this section to prevent websites from tracking your browsing activities, to open Privacy Protection preferences, and to view the statistics of blocked tracking attempts. When Kaspersky Internet Security blocks website tracking, the title of this section changes to Website tracking is blocked.
The statistics of blocked tracking attempts contains the following categories:
- Total tracking attempts blocked. The number of blocked attempts in this category is the total of all attempts in the other categories.
- Ad agencies. The number of attempts to use information about your browsing activities made by websites of ad agencies.
- Web analytics. The number of attempts to use information about your browsing activities made by analytical websites.
- Web behavior trackers. The number of attempts to discover the details of your browsing activities using web beacons, pixel tags, or other web behavior tracking techniques.
- Social networks. The number of attempts to use information about your browsing activities made by social networks.
