As soon as Kaspersky Internet Security is installed, the Kaspersky Internet Security icon appears in the menu bar. The application icon shows the status of the application. If the application icon is active (
), it means that real-time protection is enabled. If the application icon is inactive (
), it means that real-time protection is disabled.
The application icon is always displayed in the menu bar. When you open the application window, the application icon also appears in the Dock.
To open the application icon menu,
Click the application icon in the menu bar.
From the application icon menu, you can access the main application window and perform the following actions:
- Disable computer protection.
- Resume computer protection.
- Open Protection Center.
- Start Quick Scan.
- Run an update.
- Open the Privacy Protection window.
- Open the Parental Control window.
- Open the application preferences window.
- Quit Kaspersky Internet Security.
