To open the Kaspersky Internet Security preferences window:
In the menu bar, click the application icon.
In the menu that appears, choose Preferences.
Application preferences can be accessed quickly using the following tabs in the upper pane of the preferences window:
Protection. Use this tab to configure File Anti-Virus, Web Anti-Virus, and Network Attack Blocker preferences.
Threats. Use this tab to select categories of objects to be detected, configure the trusted zone, connect to Kaspersky Security Network, or opt out of participating in Kaspersky Security Network.
Scan. Use this tab to set preferences for scan tasks.
Update. Use this tab to set update task preferences.
Safe Money. Use this tab to enable or disable Safe Money protection and add websites to Safe Money protection manually.
Privacy. Use this tab to enable or disable webcam protection and Private Browsing, and set Private Browsing preferences.
Browsers. Use this tab to get URL Advisor and Onscreen Keyboard as extensions for your browsers.
Reports. Use this tab to configure Kaspersky Internet Security reports and Quarantine, enable or disable logging of debugging information in trace files, and configure automatic delivery of error reports to Kaspersky Lab.
Notifications. Use this tab to configure the way in which notifications and banners are displayed.
By clicking the
button, you can block users without administrator rights from editing the preferences of Kaspersky Internet Security. This button is located at the bottom of the preferences window. You will need to enter an administrator name and password to make the preferences editable again.
TheĀ
button provides access to the Kaspersky Internet Security help system with a description of the preferences for the current application window. You can also open Help for the currently active application window by selecting Open Help for This Window in the Help menu.
