About the license

The license is a right to use the application for a certain length of time. This right is provided to you on the basis of the End User License Agreement. The unique activation code for your copy of Kaspersky Internet Security is linked to a license.

A license includes the right to receive the following types of services:

To use the application in full functional mode, you have to buy a license for the application and activate the application.

The license is valid for a limited time. When it expires, you may be given a grace period to renew the license. The application remains functional during the grace period. When the license expires and the grace period is over, the application continues to operate with limited functionality (for example, updates and Kaspersky Security Network become unavailable). You can still use all application components and run virus scans, but only with the anti-virus databases that were installed before the grace period ended. To continue using Kaspersky Internet Security in fully functional mode, you have to renew the license.

You are advised to renew your license on the day when it expires, or earlier, to ensure maximum protection against all security threats.

Before buying a license, you can "test run" a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security free of charge. The trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security remains functional for a short period of time. When the trial license expires, you may be given a grace period, during which the application remains functional. When the grace period is over, all Kaspersky Internet Security features are disabled. To continue using the application, you have to buy a license.
