Kaspersky Lab updates Kaspersky Internet Security anti-virus databases by using update servers. Kaspersky Lab update servers are Kaspersky Lab HTTP servers where Kaspersky Internet Security updates are regularly published.
Note: An Internet connection is required to download updates from the update servers.
By default, Kaspersky Internet Security periodically checks for updates on Kaspersky Lab update servers. If a set of the latest updates is available on a server, Kaspersky Internet Security downloads the updates in the background and installs them on your computer.
To start an update of Kaspersky Internet Security:
- Open the main application window.
- Click the
button.
- The Update window opens.
- In the Update window, click the Update button.
You can view the results of completed update tasks in the Reports window.
