Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac

Manage licenses and subscriptions

If you do not have a license for Kaspersky Internet Security or you are using a trial version of the application, you can buy a license.

Buy a license

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the bottommost pane of the main application window, click .

    The Licensing window opens.

  3. In the Licensing window, click the Buy button.

A webpage opens, with information on purchasing a license through the Kaspersky Lab online store, My Kaspersky, or Kaspersky Lab partners. When you buy a license from an online store, an activation code for Kaspersky Internet Security is sent to the email address specified in the order form after you complete payment.

You have to renew your license if the license associated with the active key has expired, the grace period has ended, and no reserve key has been added. When the license expires and the grace period is over, the application continues to operate with limited functionality (for example, updates and Kaspersky Security Network become unavailable). You can still use some of application components and run virus scans, but only with the anti-virus databases that were installed before the grace period ended.

Important: When your anti-virus databases are out of date, your computer is at increased risk of infection.

Renew a license

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the bottommost pane of the main application window, click .

    The Licensing window opens.

  3. In the Licensing window, click the Renew button.

When you use the application under subscription, Kaspersky Internet Security automatically contacts the activation server at specific intervals to verify the subscription status until your subscription expires.

If you use the application under an unlimited subscription, Kaspersky Internet Security renews your subscription without requiring any action from you.

If your subscription has expired and the grace period for renewing the subscription is over, Kaspersky Internet Security notifies you of this and stops trying to automatically renew the subscription. Kaspersky Internet Security stops updating the application databases (if you had a subscription to updates) or stops protecting your computer (if you had a subscription to updates and protection).

You can renew your subscription manually by contacting the vendor that sold you Kaspersky Internet Security.
