Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac

Restrict access to websites and file downloads for a child or teenager

To protect children and teenagers who use the computer, you can restrict the following operations:

  • Access to websites that could waste time (chat rooms, games) or money (e-stores, auctions)
  • Access to websites targeting an adult audience, such as those displaying pornography, extremism, firearms, drug abuse, and explicit violence
  • Downloads of certain file types

Important: If you have installed the application version intended for use in the European Union, you will have to accept the Statement regarding data processing for Parental Control before you can enable Parental Control. The statement is displayed when you attempt to enable Parental Control for the first user account on your Mac.

Restrict file downloads from the Internet

If necessary, you can allow access to a limited set of websites in a blocked category, or block access to specific websites while allowing all other websites, by creating a list of exclusions.

You can view a report on attempts to visit blocked websites and download files in prohibited categories on the Reports tab of the Parental Control window.
