Kaspersky Internet Security icon
As soon as Kaspersky Internet Security is installed, the Kaspersky Internet Security icon appears in the menu bar. When the application is activated, the application icon shows the status of the application. If the application icon is active (
), it means that all or some of the protection components are enabled. If the application icon is inactive (
), then all of the protection components are disabled.
The application icon is always displayed in the menu bar. When you open the application window, the application icon also appears in the Dock.
Open the application icon menu
From the application icon menu, you can:
- Open the main application window.
- Disable computer protection.
- Resume computer protection.
- Open Protection Center to read messages about protection, recommendations, and application news.
- Start Quick Scan.
- Run an update.
- Open the Privacy window.
- Open the application preferences window.
- Quit the application.
