Huawei and Honor devices
On Huawei devices with the EMUI interface, initial setup is needed in order to ensure that Kaspersky is working properly.
Some steps may be different, depending on the device model and version of the operating system.
Step 1. Exclude Kaspersky from battery optimization mode
Taking this step allows the display of pop-up notifications during incoming calls, even when the battery optimization mode is on.
How to exclude the app from the battery optimization mode
- Open your device's Settings app. For example, pull down the status bar and tap .
- Tap Apps.
- Now, do the following:
For devices with the EMUI 9.x interface:
- Tap Apps.
You may skip this step on some devices, depending on their firmware.
- Tap in the upper right corner and select Special access on the menu.
- Tap Battery optimization.
- Find Kaspersky and tap it.
- Select Don't allow for Kaspersky, to exclude the app from the battery optimization mode.
For devices with the EMUI 8.x interface:
- In the lower part of the screen, tap and select Special access.
- Tap Ignore battery optimization.
- Find Kaspersky and tap it.

Step 2. Lock Kaspersky in the device's memory
Taking this step allows the app not to be unloaded from device memory by the operating system.
How to lock the app in memory
Some steps may be different, depending on the device model and version of the operating system.
- Open the list of all apps running on the device. For example, hold the middle button until the list of all running apps appears.

Step 3. Turn on manual managing for launching Kaspersky
Taking this step allows you to manage the launching of the app.
How to turn on manual managing of the app's launch
- Open your device's Settings app. For example, pull down the status bar and tap .
- Tap Battery.
- Tap App launch.
- Find Kaspersky and set the Manage automatically switch to OFF.

- Tap OK.
Kaspersky also has the following known issues and possible solutions on HUAWEI and HONOR devices:
- Due to firmware functionality on the Huawei P30 the app may not autorun after device restart. We recommend that you add Kaspersky to the apps that can autorun or start the app manually after the device is restarted.
- On Huawei devices running Android 6.0 and lower the Data wipe command may not wipe data from an SD card. To minimize the risk that data might fall into the wrong hands, don't save sensitive data on SD cards on these devices.
