Installing the app

The Google Play™ service lets you install Kaspersky Internet Security either from the Google Play Store app on the device or from Google Play via the computer.

The following conditions must be met to install the app using the Google Play service:

To learn more about creating a Google account, linking your device to your account, or working with Google Play Store, see Google's technical support website.

To install Kaspersky Internet Security from the Google Play Store on your device:

  1. Start the Google Play Store app on your device.
  2. Find Kaspersky Internet Security. To do so, enter the app name in the Google Play Store search field and tap ENTER.
  3. Select Kaspersky Internet Security in the search results.

  4. Tap Install on the page with app details.
  5. View the list of rights that Kaspersky Internet Security needs.
    • If you agree to grant the app these permissions, tap Install.

      This will start the download and installation of Kaspersky Internet Security.

    • If you refuse to grant these permissions to Kaspersky Internet Security, tap Back.

      This cancels the installation of the app.

To install Kaspersky Internet Security from Google Play using a computer:

  1. Open https://play.google.com on the computer.
  2. Find Kaspersky Internet Security. To do so, enter the app name in the Google Play Store search field and tap ENTER.
  3. Select Kaspersky Internet Security in the search results.

  4. Tap Install on the page with app details.

    If you are not signed in to the Google Play Store service, a window opens prompting you to sign in to the service using your Google account.

  5. In the Send to a different device drop-down list in the request form, select the device on which you want the app installed.

    The drop-down list contains the devices that are linked to your Google account.

  6. In the request form window, review the list of permissions required by the app.
    • If you agree to grant the app these permissions, tap Install.

      If your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network, the app will begin to be downloaded immediately. If your device is not connected to the Internet, the app will begin to be downloaded the next time you connect to the Internet.

    • If you do not want to grant the app these permissions, tap Cancel.

      This cancels the installation of the app.

If a device running the Android operating system has modified firmware, this increases the risk of the device being hacked and your data being stolen or corrupted.
