Launching Privacy Protection remotely

Privacy Protection is available only in the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security.

If necessary, you can hide personal contacts and related information on the device remotely. You can do it on the My Kaspersky portal or in the Kaspersky Internet Security interface on another device using an SMS command.

Remote launching of Privacy Protection function is possible if the following conditions are met:

• The premium version of the app is activated on the device receiving the SMS command.
• The device is receiving cellular network signals (only for receiving the SMS command).
• The device is connected to the Internet (only for receiving a command using the My Kaspersky portal).
• Remote data hiding is allowed on the device.

To remotely launch Privacy Protection on your device,

Form and send a command to your device from a device with Kaspersky Internet Security installed on it. To do it, navigate to Anti-Theft > Send SMS commands and select required command.

You will receive a command execution report in a return text message.

Outgoing SMS commands are billed according to the data plan of the network provider for the other mobile device.

To remotely launch Privacy Protection on your device through the My Kaspersky:

1. Open the portal on any device.
2. Sign in to the portal with My Kaspersky account that you used during initial configuration of the app.
3. Go to the Devices section.

   Open the panel of the mobile device that you want to manage remotely.

4. On the Protection Status tab, in the Protection of personal data section, tap the Hide data button.
