To enable Anti-Theft functions, you must first configure Anti-Theft. Anti-Theft functions are disabled by default when the app is installed meaning you cannot start them remotely via My Kaspersky.
After initial configuration, all Anti-Theft functions will be enabled with the settings recommended by Kaspersky Lab.
The Anti-Theft setup wizard can only be started once. You can configure Anti-Theft later in the app settings.
To perform the initial configuration of Anti-Theft:
Open the Kaspersky Internet Security quick launch panel.
Tap Anti-Theft.
This starts the Anti-Theft setup wizard.
View the description of the feature and tap Next.
Grant the required permissions to the app. These permissions are necessary for Anti-Theft functions to work.
Sign in to your My Kaspersky account if you haven't already done so.
Set a secret code, if you haven’t already done so during the initial configuration of App Lock or Privacy Protection.
Grant advanced permissions to the app by activating Device Administrator. These permissions are needed to perform Anti-Theft commands on the device if the device is lost or stolen.
On the screen with information about advanced permissions, tap Next.
Read about the device administrator permissions.
Tap Activate this device administrator.
Tap Done.
Anti-Theft is configured.
To edit Anti-Theft settings after initial configuration:
Open the Kaspersky Internet Security quick launch panel and tap Anti-Theft.
