Installing the Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server package

Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server is distributed in packages in TXZ, DEB and RPM formats.

To install Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server from an RPM package, run the following command:

# rpm -i klms-<version_number>.i386.rpm

After the command is executed, the application is installed automatically.

After installing the application on CentOS, RedHat, and Rocky Linux operating systems:

Create the /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/klms.conf file and add the following lines to that file:
x /tmp/klmstmp

x /tmp/klms_filter
Configure access rights of the file:
chmod 644 /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/klms.conf
Update the configuration:
systemctl daemon-reload

To install Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server from a DEB package on a 64-bit operating system, run the following command:

# dpkg --force-architecture -i klms_<version_number>_i386.deb

After the command is executed, the application is installed automatically.

To install Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server from a TXZ package on a 64-bit FreeBSD 11 operating system, run the following command:

# pkg add -f klms-<version_number>.txz

After the command is executed, the application is installed automatically.

After the application package has been installed for all operating systems, install the Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server localization package.
