Change the master password
Change the master password
For security reasons, we recommend that you change your master password on a regular basis. If you suspect that your master password has been compromised, change it immediately.
- Unlock the vault by entering the master password and tapping Unlock.
If your device runs Android 6.0 or later, supports fingerprint authentication and fingerprint authentication is enabled in the app settings, you can use it to unlock your vault instead of entering the master password.
- In the main app window, tap
or swipe the screen to the right.
The quick access bar appears on the left.
- On the quick access bar, tap Settings > Change master password.
- Enter a new master password.
- Confirm your new master password.
For security reasons Kaspersky Password Manager hides data you enter and replaces it with dots. To view data, tap
.
- Tap Continue.
After sync, the master password will be changed on all your devices.
