What to do if you have forgotten the master password
If you forget your master password, your data will no longer be available. If this happens, you can create a new data vault with a new master password. However, all data from the old vault on all your devices will be lost and you will then have to manually add all your entries to the new data vault.
In the main application window, click the Forgot your master password? link.
In the alert that appears, click Create New Vault if you agree to create a new data vault.
In the alert that appears, click Continue to create a new data vault for all your devices.
Note: Creating a new data vault will delete all data protected with the forgotten master password from all your devices.
In the alert that appears, enter the password for your My Kaspersky account and click Continue.
The Master Password window opens.
Enter the new master password twice and click Continue.
The new data vault protected with the new master password is now created. All data protected with the old master password will be deleted from all devices connected to your My Kaspersky account.
