Data security directly depends on password strength. Data may be at risk in the following cases:
A single password is set for all accounts.
Passwords are too weak.
Information that is easy to guess is used as a password (such as family members' names or dates of birth).
You can use Kaspersky Password Manager's Password Generator to create unique strong passwords to keep your data secure.
A password is strong if it contains at least eight characters and includes special characters, numbers, and uppercase and lowercase letters.
To create a strong password using Password Generator:
Open the main application window.
In the lower part of the window, click the button.
In the application tray menu, selectPassword Generator.
In the Password Generator window that appears, in the Password length field, specify the number of characters in the password.
A password can be 4 to 99 characters long. Longer passwords are stronger.
If necessary, configure the advanced settings of Password Generator by selecting or clearing check boxes for settings in the Miscellaneous drop-down section.
In the Miscellaneous section, you can configure additional aspects of password generation.
