Unlocking the vault
Unlocking the vault
If the vault is locked, Kaspersky Password Manager functions are unavailable.
By default, the vault is locked automatically after the device has been idle for 10 minutes.
To unlock the data vault manually:
- Right-click the application icon in the Start menu or on the desktop of your account.
The Kaspersky Password Manager window opens.
- In the Master password field, enter the master password.
- Click the Unlock button.
The vault is now unlocked. The main application window opens.
To unlock the data vault manually from the context menu of the application icon:
- Right-click the application icon in the taskbar notification area.
- Select Unlock Kaspersky Password Manager.
The Kaspersky Password Manager window opens.
- In the Master password field, enter the master password.
- Click the Unlock button.
The vault is now unlocked. The main application window opens.
To unlock the data vault from the context menu of the button:
- In the upper-right corner of the browser window, click the
button.
The Kaspersky Password Manager window opens.
- In the Master password field, enter the master password.
- Click the Unlock button.
The vault is now unlocked. The main application window does not open so you can continue using the browser.
