Creating and editing a category of special recipients

To create or edit a category of special recipients:

  1. In the Management Console tree, select the Categories and policies node.
  2. Perform one of the following steps:
    • To create a new category of special recipients, click the New category button. Then select the Special recipients item in the drop-down list.
    • To edit an existing category of special recipients, select it in the list of categories and policies and click the Settings button.

A window with category settings appears.

  3. Specify the category name of your choice in the Name field.
  4. On the Monitored addresses tab, add email addresses to the category. The application saves information about delivery of notifications to the addresses you have added. To do so, perform the following:
    1. Type the email address in the entry field. You can enter a single email address or use wildcards, such as *@domain.net, *domain.net.
    2. Click the Add button button.
  5. To remove an email address from the list, select an address in the list and click the Delete button button.
  6. To export the list of addresses to a TXT file, click the Export button button .
  7. To import a list of addresses from a TXT file, click the Import button button.
  8. On the Exclusions tab, add email addresses to the list of exclusions. The application does not save information about delivery of notifications to the addresses on the list of exclusions.

Using the exclusions can be convenient when templates have been added to the list of monitored addresses.

The list of exclusions can be blank.

  9. Specify additional information pertaining to the category in the Comments field.
  10. Click the OK button.

The new or modified category of special recipients appears in the list of categories and policies.

In order for the application to start using a new or modified category of special recipients in Data Leak Prevention, you need to create a policy on the basis of the category. When you create a policy based on a category of special recipients, the Policy Wizard skips the selection of message recipients included in the scope of the policy.
