Configuring a connection to OneDrive

To protect your company files including files uploaded via Microsoft Teams chats, you must connect Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 to your OneDrive.

When connecting to OneDrive, Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 uses OAuth 2.0. OAuth 2.0 is an open standard for access delegation. This standard allows OneDrive users to grant websites or applications access to information on other websites, without disclosing the passwords.

You cannot use Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 if your Office 365 organization is registered in Microsoft Azure national clouds (also known as sovereign clouds).

You can also disconnect the application from your OneDrive if you no longer want to protect the files of your company.

Configuring a connection to OneDrive involves the following:

• When you connect the application to OneDrive of a specific Office 365 organization, the workspace used for the current session is tied to this organization. To protect the files of another organization, you must register a new company on the Kaspersky Business Hub portal.
• After you disconnect a workspace from OneDrive of an Office 365 organization, you can connect this organization to the same or any other workspace.
