Installing Network Agent for Windows

You can also install Network Agent on Windows-based devices of an organization to manage them by using Administration Server.

In Microsoft Windows XP, Network Agent might not perform the following operations correctly: downloading updates directly from Kaspersky servers (as a distribution point) and functioning as a KSN proxy server (as a distribution point).

There are the following methods to initially install Network Agent on the Windows managed device:

• By running the remote installation task through the Windows distribution point.
• By using the Windows Installer package (MSI) for Network Agent, with third-party tools for remote installation of applications.
• By running the application installer on the managed device.
• By sending device users links to stand-alone packages generated by Kaspersky Security Center Linux. Stand-alone packages are executable modules that contain the distribution packages of selected applications with their settings defined.
