Exporting and importing a policy profile

You can save a policy profile to a KLPROF file without exporting a policy, and then use this KLPROF file to import the saved profile to the policy.

This allows you to restore the policy profile settings quickly, instead of configuring them again.

A policy profile is imported to the policy of the same version of the application from which you exported the profile. For applications that support backward compatibility of policies (for example, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows), you can import policy profiles to different versions of the policy.

To export a policy profile:

  1. Proceed to the list of profiles of a policy that you want.

The list of policy profiles appears.

  2. On the Policy profiles tab, click the policy profile that you want to export.
  3. In the toolbar, click the Export button.
  4. In the window that opens, specify the directory to which you want to save the file with the policy profile.

You can change the file name, if necessary.

  5. Click the Save button.

If the operation is completed successfully, an appropriate message is displayed on the screen. Otherwise, an error message is displayed.

The maximum size of the imported file is 4 MB.

The policy profile is imported with the name it had when you exported it, not with the name of the KLPROF file.
The file is imported with the Disabled status and the lowest priority, regardless of the priority the policy profile had before the export.

You cannot perform the import:
