Upgrading Kaspersky Security Center Linux from version 15.4 or earlier

This section describes the following options for upgrading Kaspersky Security Center Linux from version 15.4 or earlier to version 16 or later:

• Upgrading by using the installation file
• Upgrading through backup
• Upgrading on the Kaspersky Security Center Linux failover cluster nodes

Each upgrade option Kaspersky Security Center Linux from version 15.4 or earlier to version 16 or later includes steps to create and configure an IAM database on a DBMS server, create an unprivileged 'ksciam' account to run the IAM service, and add this account to the 'kladmins' security group.
