Configuring change of the virtual server

When you switch between apps, websites or website categories with different virtual server settings, you can configure which server Kaspersky Security Cloud must use - the current one, or the one specified for the app or website you are opening now.

You can configure the change of the virtual server if you are using the extended version of the Secure Connection feature.

To configure the change of the virtual server:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Tap > Settings > Auto connection.
  3. Make sure that Secure the connection automatically using rules is turned on.
  4. Tap If the current virtual server differs from the one specified for a website or an app you are opening .
  5. Specify which action the Secure Connection feature must take if you switch between apps, websites or website categories for which different virtual servers are configured:
    • Change virtual server. The app changes your virtual location based on which location you specified for the app, website or website category. For example, let's say you specified that a secure connection must be turned on using one location for websites in the "Banking websites" category, but you specified a different location for websites in the "Social networks" category. If your connection is secured and you switch from a website in the "Banking websites" category to a website in the "Social networks" category, the application will change your virtual location to the one specified for the "Social networks" category.
    • Don't change virtual server. If you switch between apps, websites or website categories for which different virtual servers are configured, the app does not change your virtual location.
    • Ask. The app shows a notification in which you can specify whether or not to change your virtual location.
