Kaspersky Security Cloud evaluates the security status of a Wi-Fi network according to KSN data and a number of a Wi-Fi network parameters, such as if a Wi-Fi network uses a vulnerable encryption protocol or a popular Wi-Fi network name (SSID). As a result, a Wi-Fi network can be evaluated as secure or unsecured.
An infrastructure of cloud services that provides access to the Kaspersky Lab database with constantly updated information about the reputation of files, web resources, and software. Use of data from Kaspersky Security Network ensures faster responses by Kaspersky Lab applications to threats, improves the performance of some protection components, and reduces the likelihood of false positives.
To configure automatic activation of a secure connection for unsecured Wi-Fi networks:
Open the app.
Tap > Settings > Auto connection.
Make sure that Secure the connection automatically using rules is turned on.
Tap For unsecured Wi-Fi networks and select one of the following options:
Ask. The app displays a notification and prompts you to turn on a secure connection when you are connecting to an unsecured Wi-Fi network.
Turn on secure connection. The app turns on a secure connection when you are connecting to an unsecured Wi-Fi network.
Do nothing. The app does not display a notification and does not turn on a secure connection when you are connecting to an unsecured Wi-Fi network.
