Auto connection for a specific website category

By default, Kaspersky Security Cloud does not turn on a secure connection when you open websites in a browser.

You need to turn on accessibility for Kaspersky Security Cloud in the device settings to use this functionality.

We recommend that you secure the connection when opening websites in which you may enter personal data. Otherwise, your data may be exposed to cybercriminals.

The Secure Connection feature lets you configure activation of a secure connection for different website categories. For example, you can specify that a secure connection must be activated when you visit websites of payment systems or social networks.

To configure automatic activation of a secure connection for a specific website category:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Tap > Settings > Auto connection.
  3. Make sure that Secure the connection automatically using rules is turned on.
  4. Tap Website categories.
  5. Select the website category:
    • Banking websites. A secure connection will be enabled when you visit bank websites.
    • Payment systems. A secure connection will be enabled when you visit websites of payment systems.
    • E-commerce websites. A secure connection will be enabled when you visit websites of online stores with integrated payment systems.
    • Social networks. A secure connection will be enabled when you visit social network websites.
  6. Select the action that the app must take when you visit websites of the selected category:

    • Ask. The app displays a notification and prompts you to turn on a secure connection when you visit websites of this category.
    • Do nothing. The app does not turn on a secure connection when you visit websites of this category.

Kaspersky Security Cloud does not turn on a secure connection if the HTTPS protocol is used to connect to a website.
