Scanning for and fixing weak settings of the operating system
Scanning for and fixing weak settings of the operating system
To find and fix weak settings of the operating system:
- Open the main application window.
- In the lower part of the main window, click the More Tools button.
The Tools window opens.
- Click the Weak settings control link to open the Weak settings control window.
- Click the Start scan button.
If weak settings are detected during the scan, the window displays a link named <N> weak settings of the operating system detected.
- Click this link to go to the Weak settings control window.
- In the Weak settings control window, select an action to take on weak settings:
- Detected weak settings. Do one of the following:
- Click the Fix button to fix a weak setting.
- Click the Fix all button to fix all weak settings.
- Click the Ignore button to leave a weak setting unchanged.
- Click the Read more button to view information about the weak setting on the Kaspersky Lab Technical Support website.
- Previously fixed weak settings. Click the Cancel button to restore the fixed setting to its original state.
- Ignored settings. Click the Show <N> ignored settings link to open the list of weak settings that you left unchanged and perform the necessary actions: Fix or Ignore.
- Detected weak settings. Do one of the following:
