Kaspersky created a special version of the application for residents of the U.S. state of California. If you are a resident of the U.S. state of California, you need to download and install the Personal or Family version of the application.
The following new features and improvements are introduced in Kaspersky Security Cloud:
Reduced time taken to update application databases.
Enhanced Firewall settings. Added capability to view available networks, and expanded list of settings for network rules.
Added Interface section that displays the application notification settings and the design theme and application icon settings.
Added Manage Settingssection where you can import, export, or restore application settings.
Revised Additional section. It now contains the Hardware and On-Screen Keyboard settings.
Revised General section. It now contains more settings such as Performance, Operating mode, and Self-Defense.
Enhanced File Anti-Virus component. It now scans files in Microsoft Office formats that are up to 8 MB in size.
Resolved vulnerability of the File Shredder component.
Resolved vulnerability of the Backup and Restore component. Implemented Exploit Prevention.
Resolved vulnerability of storing data in data vaults. Implemented Exploit Prevention.
Improved texts of licensing messages.
Reduced time of application installation due to support for earlier versions of Microsoft .NET Framework. Now, if the user has Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or later installed, Microsoft .NET Framework is not downloaded during installation of Kaspersky Password Manager and Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection.
The Family package now includes 10 devices.
Improved Account Check functionality. The application can now check data that the user enters into a browser via Kaspersky Password Manager.
Improved functionality of Devices in My Network The application can now identify when the device type was changed by a user.
Limited support for the old Microsoft Edge browser. This browser no longer supports Secure Data Input and Protected Browser. You continue to be protected during Traffic scanning.
Discontinued support for the Kaspersky Protection extension in the Internet Explorer browser.
Removed the ability to save backups to a FTP server.
Kaspersky Security Cloud 2:
The Application Manager component no longer provides the System Changes Control feature for monitoring operating system settings.
The following features have been removed from the Anti-Spam component:
Integration with Microsoft Office Outlook and Outlook Express.
Management of a custom spam database.
Scans of messages transmitted over the Exchange MAPI protocol.
Addition of a sender's address to the list of allowed addresses during Anti-Spam training.
Actions upon detection of spam messages: move, copy, delete, and ignore.
