How to configure the display of notifications

To configure the display of notifications about the activation of a secure connection when connecting to a Wi-Fi network:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the main application window, click the buttonVPN Menu.
  3. Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.

    The Settings window opens.

  4. Select the Apply general rules of security on connection to Wi-Fi networks check box if it has been cleared.
  5. Click the Configure button.
  6. In the General rules for connecting to Wi-Fi networks window, perform one of the following actions:
    • Select the Notify when enabled check box if you want to receive notifications about a secure connection being enabled when you connect to a Wi-Fi network.
    • Clear the Notify when enabled check box if you do not want to receive notifications about a secure connection being enabled when you connect to a Wi-Fi network.

To configure the display of notifications informing you that the application has started and a secure connection is enabled:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the main application window, click the buttonVPN Menu.
  3. Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.

    The Settings window opens.

  4. Select the Enable secure connection at application startup check box if it has been cleared.

    This displays the Notify when enabled check box.

  5. Do one of the following:
    • Select the Notify when enabled check box if you want to receive notifications informing you that the application has started and a secure connection is enabled.
    • Clear the Notify when enabled check box if you do not want to receive notifications.

To receive notifications about the activation of a secure connection when connecting to a selected Wi-Fi network:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the main application window, click the buttonVPN Menu.
  3. Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.

    The Settings window opens.

  4. Click the Settings button.

    This opens the General rules for connecting to Wi-Fi networks window.

  5. Click the Manage known Wi-Fi networks link to open the Manage known Wi-Fi networks window.

    This window displays the available Wi-Fi networks. If there are no available Wi­Fi networks, the list is empty.

  6. Select the Wi-Fi network for which you want to configure notifications informing you that a secure connection is enabled.
  7. Click the Edit button.

    This opens the Edit secure connection settings for Wi-Fi network window.

  8. In the Action on connection to this network section, select the Enable secure connection automatically option if it is not already selected.
  9. Do one of the following:
    • Select the Notify when enabled check box if you want to receive notifications informing you that a device has been connected to the Wi-Fi network and a secure connection is enabled.
    • Clear the Notify when enabled check box if you do not want to receive notifications.
  10. Click the Save button.
