How to configure activation of a secure connection
To configure activation of a secure connection:
Open the main application window.
In the main application window, click the button.
Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.
The Settings window opens.
Select the Apply general rules of security on connection to Wi-Fi networks check box.
Click the Configure button.
This opens the General rules for connecting to Wi-Fi networks window.
In the On connection to insecure Wi-Fi networks section, select one of the following four options:
Prompt to enable secure connection based on Kaspersky Lab recommendations. When you are connecting to an insecure Wi-Fi network, Kaspersky Secure Connection displays a notification and prompts you to enable a secure connection based on recommendations by Kaspersky Lab experts. These rules may be automatically updated without notifying the user. This option is selected by default.
Always prompt to enable secure connection. Kaspersky Secure Connection displays a notification and prompts you to enable a secure connection when you are connecting to an insecure Wi-Fi network.
Enable secure connection automatically. Kaspersky Secure Connection enables a secure connection when you connect to an insecure Wi-Fi network.
Ignore. Kaspersky Secure Connection does not display a notification and does not enable a secure connection when you are connecting to an insecure Wi-Fi network.
In the Choose country when secure connection is enabled drop-down list, specify the country through which you want to establish a secure connection. If you have the limited version of the application, only the Automatically option is available in the drop-down list. In this case, the application chooses the virtual location for you.
