How to configure the application to automatically change the region

You can configure the actions that the application will take when you change the region if Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Total Security or Kaspersky Security Cloud is installed and activated on your computer.

To configure the application to take an action when you change the region:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the main application window, click the button VPN Menu.
  3. Select the Settings item in the drop-down menu.

    The Settings window opens.

  4. Click the Configure rules for websites button.

The Rules for connection to websites window opens.

  5. Select the region through which you want to establish a secure connection for websites of a specific category.
  6. Select the region through which you want to establish a secure connection for specific websites.
  7. In the If the current virtual server differs from the specified server drop-down list, specify which action the application must take if you switch between websites or website categories for which different regions are configured:
    • Do not change virtual server. If you switch between websites or website categories for which different virtual locations are configured, the application does not change your virtual location.
    • Ask. The application shows a notification in which you can specify whether or not to change the virtual location.
    • Change virtual server. The application changes the region based on which region you specified for the website or website category. For example, you specified that a secure connection must be enabled through one region for websites in the "Banking websites" category, but you specified a different region for websites in the "Social networks" category. If you have a secure connection enabled and you switch from a website in the "Banking websites" category to a website in the "Social networks" category, the application will change your region to the one specified for the "Social networks" category.
