How to protect data if your secure connection is lost

When you enable a secure connection, we will reliably protect your data while surfing the Internet. However, if you lose your secure connection, your data will remain unprotected, and attackers can steal it. To ensure that your data is always protected even when your secure connection is interrupted, we added the Kill Switch feature to Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection.

By default, the Kill Switch feature is turned off and Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection does not block your Internet access when your secure connection is interrupted. If the Kill Switch is enabled and secure connection is interrupted, internet acess is fully blocked. Internet access is not blocked, if you have disabled secure connection yourself.

To enable Kill Switch:

1. Open the main application window.
2. In the main application window, click the button.
3. Select Settings → Kill Switch section.
4. Switch the Kill Switch toggle to On.

The application will block your Internet access if your secure connection is interrupted.
