Link a child's profile to a computer account
You can link a child's profile to an existing computer account or create a new one using Kaspersky Safe Kids.
Create a computer account using Kaspersky Safe Kids
- Open the main application window.
- In the right pane of the main application window, click the Manage Children's Profiles button.
The prompt for My Kaspersky credentials opens.
- In the prompt for My Kaspersky credentials, enter the password for your My Kaspersky account.
- Click the Continue button.
A window with the list of children's profiles opens.
- In the list of children's profiles, click the Protect button next to the child's profile.
The Which account does <child's name> use on this computer window opens.
- In the Which account does <child's name> use on this computer window, click the Create Account button.
A window for adding the account opens.
- Specify the account settings:
- In the Full Name field, enter the name of the account owner.
- In the Account Name field, enter the name of the account.
Important: Use only Latin letters and numerals in the account name.
- In the Password field, enter the account password.
If you want Kaspersky Safe Kids to display the password characters, you can click the
button to show the password characters. - In the Confirm field, enter the account password again.
- In the Hint field, enter a hint that can help you remember your password.
- Click the Create Account button.
Link a child's profile to a computer account
- Open the main application window.
- In the right pane of the main application window, click the Manage Children's Profiles button.
The prompt for My Kaspersky credentials opens.
- In the prompt for My Kaspersky credentials, enter the password for your My Kaspersky account.
- Click the Continue button.
A window with the list of children's profiles opens.
- In the list of children's profiles, click the Protect button next to the child's profile that you want to link to the computer account.
The Which account does <child's name> use on this computer window opens.
- In the Which account does <child's name> use on this computer window, select the computer account that you want to link to the child's profile.
Note: You can link a child's profile only to a standard computer account.
If your computer has only the administrator account, you can convert it into a standard account and add a new administrator account using Kaspersky Safe Kids.
- Click the Continue button.
A window opens informing you that the child's profile is protected when the selected computer account is used.
- Click the Done button.
