Monitor device use
On the parent's Android device:
- Tap
on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.
This opens the Kaspersky Safe Kids settings.
- Tap Device use.
A list of your child's devices opens.
- Select a device for which you want to monitor usage.
- Turn on the Device monitoring toggle.
- In Type of control section select one of the following monitoring options:
- Block device. When the time during which the child is allowed to use the device ends, the device is blocked. A notification that the device is blocked is shown to the child and you will receive a message about the device-blocking event. When the child’s device is blocked, applications that were specified as exclusions can still be used by the child.
The system Phone and Contacts apps are not blocked.
- Show warnings to child. When the time during which the child is allowed to use the device ends, a warning is displayed to the child. If the child does not stop using the device after receiving the warning, you will receive a notification. This notification is shown every time the child opens the application for which usage time is up. However, applications that were specified as exclusions can be used by the child and the child will not receive a warning when using these applications.
If you configured device usage by schedule and not by time, parent notifications are not sent.
- Statistics only. When this option is selected, the device is never blocked, regardless of how much time the child uses the device. No warnings are displayed to the child and you will not receive any notifications about the device usage. Kaspersky Safe Kids analyzes statistics on device usage and you can view the device usage report. If the Type of control is changed to Block device or Show warnings to child, the device usage time in the Statistics only mode is taken into account.
- Block device. When the time during which the child is allowed to use the device ends, the device is blocked. A notification that the device is blocked is shown to the child and you will receive a message about the device-blocking event. When the child’s device is blocked, applications that were specified as exclusions can still be used by the child.
Limit device use time by hours per day or by schedule
- Tap
on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.
This opens the Kaspersky Safe Kids settings.
- Tap Device use.
A list of your child's devices opens.
- Select a device for which you want to limit usage.
- Select one of the following limit types:
- Daily limits.
- Schedule.
- Set the time limits:
- If you selected Daily limits limit type, for each day of the week specify how much time your child can use the device.
- If you selected Schedule limit type, for each day of the week specify the time intervals during which device use is restricted.
Allow app use on blocked device This opens the Kaspersky Safe Kids settings. A list of your child's devices opens. The selected apps are added to the list of exclusions, and can be used on the child's device even when the device is blocked. However, the time limitations for these apps set by the parent are still effective. on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.
- Tap

- Select the summary for the child whose device use report you want to see.
- Scroll to the Device use section.
- Tap

Device use statistics for all of your child's devices monitored by Kaspersky Safe Kids are displayed.
- Tap a date to view when exactly your child used his or her devices on that day.
On the parent's iOS device:
- Tap Settings on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.
This opens the Kaspersky Safe Kids settings.
- Select the child.
- Tap Device Use.
A list of your child's devices opens.
- Select a device for which you want to monitor usage.
- Turn on the Device monitoring toggle to enable device monitoring.
- In Type of control section select one of the following monitoring options:
- Block device. When the time during which the child was allowed to use the device is up, the device is blocked. The notification is shown to the child, that the device is blocked, and you will receive the message about device blocking event. When the child's device is blocked, there are still some applications that were configured as exclusions, which the child can use.
You cannot block system Phone and Contacts app.
- Show warnings to child. When the time during which the child was allowed to use the device is up, the warning is displayed to the child. If the child does not stop using the device after receiving the warning, you will receive the notification. This notification is shown every time, when the child opens the application for which usage time is up. However, there are still some applications that were configured as exclusions, which the child can use without warnings.
