Technical questions
If you use a proxy server to connect to the Internet, you must specify the proxy server connection settings.
By default, the application attempts to detect the proxy server settings and connect to the Internet automatically. If the application fails to detect the proxy server settings automatically, it prompts you for the user name and password for proxy server authentication. By default, the application saves the specified user name and password.
Configure the proxy server:
- In the context menu of the
icon, select Settings.
- Enter the password for your My Kaspersky account.
The Settings window opens.
- In the Proxy server section, select one of the following options:
- If you do not wish to use a proxy server to connect to the Internet, select Do not use proxy server.
- If you want the application to automatically configure proxy server connection settings, select Automatically detect proxy server settings.
- To configure the proxy server connection settings manually, select Use specified proxy server settings and specify the address and port used to connect to the proxy server.
By default, port number 80 is used.
- If a user name and password must be specified when connecting to the proxy server, select the Use proxy server authentication checkbox and specify the user name and password to connect to the proxy server.
- Click OK.
The proxy server connection settings are saved.
