After installation finishes, the Kaspersky Safe Kids Setup Assistant guides you through the Kaspersky Safe Kids setup process.
During setup, you perform the following actions:
- Connect to My Kaspersky using your My Kaspersky account or register on My Kaspersky if you don't have an account.
Child's device will be connected to this My Kaspersky account. If you want to use another My Kaspersky account to monitor child's device, you must first disconnect child's device from the current account on My Kaspersky.
- Select the Windows accounts that you want to monitor and assign them to children.
- Protect Windows accounts with a password.
After this, Kaspersky Safe Kids setup is finished and the application is already running.
Kaspersky Safe Kids settings are applied to the selected accounts according to the age of each child. You can view and change Kaspersky Safe Kids settings on My Kaspersky in the Kids section or in Kaspersky Safe Kids installed on the parent's mobile device (running Android or iOS).
Connect to My Kaspersky
- In the Connect to My Kaspersky window, click the I have already registered button.
The Enter the password for your My Kaspersky account window appears.
- Enter the credentials for your existing My Kaspersky account and click Continue.
If you make too many attempts to connect to My Kaspersky, the application tries to determine whether you are human and the Security Check window opens.
- Enter the symbols from the picture in the field and click Continue.
If you set up two-step verification on the My Kaspersky website, the application sends a code to your phone number.
- Enter the code from the SMS in the field and click Confirm.
The code is valid for five minutes. You can request another code in 30 seconds.
Your computer is successfully connected to My Kaspersky. The Windows accounts on this computer window opens.
If you have previously used Google, Apple, Facebook to sign in to Kaspersky apps
Kaspersky applications allow you to sign in using Google, Apple, and Facebook accounts. Even if you have used this method before, to ensure the proper level of security, Kaspersky Safe Kids will prompt you to sign in to the application using your My Kaspersky account. This is a necessary measure in order to be sure that the settings are changed by the parent, not the child. In addition, it provides access for both parents to the child's profile settings.
If you haven't received an SMS message with a security code
- Check whether your mobile network is available.
- Wait until the Request Code Again button becomes available in the app.
- Tap Request Code Again.
If the problem still persists, contact Customer Service.
Two-step verification may be unavailable in your region. For more details, see the My Kaspersky help.
