How to determine the current location of your child's device

Kaspersky Safe Kids lets you determine the current location of the child's mobile device.

You can determine the current location of the child's mobile device only in the premium version of Kaspersky Safe Kids.

To enable the app to track the child's mobile device, make sure that positioning, GPS services, and an Internet connection are enabled on the child's device.

To determine the current location of the child's mobile device:

  1. Tap on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.

  2. Select the child whose location you want to determine.
  3. Tap Where is my child?.
  4. Make sure that the Location monitoring toggle switch is flipped on. By default, tracking of the current location of the child's mobile device is enabled in the premium version of Kaspersky Safe Kids.
  5. Tap on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.

  6. Tap and select the child's device whose current location you want to determine.

    After the current location of the child's mobile device has been determined, a pin marking the location appears on the map. Kaspersky Safe Kids also sends an alert to your mobile device.

    The GPS module of the mobile device can sometimes work incorrectly and provide outdated information about the child's location. If this happens, it is recommended that you restart the child's device.

  7. To refresh information about the current location of the child's mobile device, tap .

You can also determine the location of the child's mobile device on the My Kaspersky portal.

Kaspersky Safe Kids uses Google Maps to determine the current location of the mobile device. More information about tools for using Google Maps (such as map zoom) is available on the Google support website.
