After Kaspersky Safe Kids is installed to a child's mobile device, the app must be configured. Once the child's device is configured, age restrictions and other protection settings will be applied.
The Initial Configuration Wizard helps to prepare the app on the child's mobile device. The Initial Configuration Wizard starts once at first startup of the app. You install the configuration profile during operation of the Initial Configuration Wizard. The configuration profile includes rules needed to protect your child.
The configuration profile has to be reinstalled in the following cases:
Age restrictions are determined according to the rules of ESRB, PEGI, Google Play, and App Store. The child's age category is determined as of January 1 of the current year.
If you have finished the app configuration and would like to change your selection and configure Kaspersky Safe Kids for yourself to monitor children’s protection, you have to uninstall the app and then install the app again.
To prepare Kaspersky Safe Kids and turn on protection on the child's mobile device:
The Initial Configuration Wizard starts.
This cancels the configuration of the app.
Once the account has been created, a message with the account activation link is sent to the email address you specified.
You can also create an account on My Kaspersky.
The child's mobile device will be connected to the My Kaspersky portal.
You can also create a list of children's profiles on My Kaspersky.
The Configuration Profile Installation Wizard starts.
Kaspersky Safe Kids is ready to be used on the child's mobile device. The child can use Kaspersky Safe Kids as a browser for Internet access.
