How to protect your child on the Internet

Kaspersky Safe Kids lets you allow or block your child’s access to selected website categories or specific websites.

You can allow or deny your child access to specific websites only in the premium version of Kaspersky Safe Kids.

To protect your child against unwanted online content:

  1. Tap Settings on the Kaspersky Safe Kids navigation bar.

This opens the settings for child protection.

  2. Select the child whom you want to protect against unwanted content.
  3. Tap Internet.
  4. Switch on the Monitoring toggle.

Kaspersky Safe Kids generates statistics on website visits that are on the child's device and blocks malicious and phishing websites. You can view website visit statistics on My Kaspersky.

After these rules are applied on child’s Android devices, Kaspersky Safe Kids will monitor access to the Internet in the Google Chrome web browser and in the standard browser.

If the browser on the child's mobile device is running in incognito mode (the name of this mode can vary depending on the browser), Kaspersky Safe Kids does not monitor the child's access to the Internet.

After these rules are applied on child’s iOS devices, Kaspersky Safe Kids will block the Safari browser. The child must use Kaspersky Safe Kids as a browser for Internet access.

  1. If you do not want adult content to be displayed in the search results, switch on the Safe Search toggle.

When the child searches for information on Google, Bing, Yandex, and Yahoo websites, adult content is excluded from the search results.

  2. In the Website categories section, specify which website categories the child is forbidden from visiting.

Kaspersky Safe Kids blocks visits to websites belonging to prohibited categories and displays warnings before visits to websites belonging to corresponding categories.

Statistics on visits to websites of all categories on the child's devices can be viewed on My Kaspersky.

  3. To block access to specific websites or allow access to specific websites belonging to blocked categories (available only in the premium version of Kaspersky Safe Kids):
    1. Tap Exclusions.

      A list of exclusions opens.

    2. Tap Add exclusion.

A form for adding an exclusion opens.

    3. In the Web address field, type the address of the website to which you want to block or allow visits.
    4. Select the action to be performed by the app when an attempt is made to visit this website.
    5. Tap Done.

The specified website appears in the list of exclusions.
