Configuring the Backup Digest template

This functionality requires Edit settings permissions and is only available when the digest is enabled.

By default, the notification template text is in English. Automatic language switching for the template is not available. If necessary, please rewrite the text in the required language. If you need to send notifications in different languages within one recipient group, you can write the same text in multiple languages and add the translations one after the other in the same template.

To configure the Backup Digest template:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the SettingsGeneralBackup section and open the Digest tab.
  2. Click Edit to open the template editing window.
  3. If necessary, edit the subject of the digest in the Subject field.
  4. If necessary, in the Template for digest design text box, edit the formatting and placement of digest items.

You can use the %TEXT% macro in the digest template. To do so, click Add macro and select the relevant macro from the drop-down list.

  5. If necessary, in the Template for digest text (%TEXT% macro) text box, edit the text of the digest message that is inserted into the template instead of the %TEXT% macro. You can use macros in the body of the digest message. To do so, click Add macro and select the relevant macro from the drop-down list.

  6. In the Date and time format drop-down list, select the date and time format for the digest. This date and time format is used when displaying a date using the %DATE% macro. The default value is DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM.
  7. In the Maximum number of Backup message info lines field, enter the maximum number of Backup messages that can be mentioned in the Backup digest. Possible values are 0 to 500. Default value: 10.
  8. If necessary, in the Template for Backup message info line (%BACKUP_PREVIEW_LINES% macro) text box, edit the Backup message information line.

You can use macros in the Backup message information line. To do so, click Add macro and in the drop-down list select the relevant macro.

  9. Click Save.
