Depending on the status assigned to messages based on the results of Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam scanning and content filtering, KSMG performs actions on messages and the objects that they contain. The application records the result of the scan in the event log.
In the rule settings, you can specify actions to be performed by the application on messages with a certain status.
The settings that define the actions can take the following values:
Skip – deliver the unmodified message to the recipient.Reject – do not deliver the message to the recipient.If you select this action, the sending mail server receives a return code in response, indicating the occurrence of an error during delivery. The message is not delivered to the recipient.
Delete message – delete the message.If you select this action, the sending mail server receives a notification that the message has been received, but the message is not delivered to the recipient.
Delete attachment – delete the attachment (applied only after an Anti-Virus scan).Disinfect – disinfect the infected object (applied only after an Anti-Virus scan).When this action is selected, the application attempts to disinfect the infected object. If disinfection is impossible, the Reject, Delete message, or Delete attachment action that is specified in the rule settings is applied to the object. If the administrator has not specified the action in the rule settings, the application performs the Delete attachment action.
