Limitations of Kaspersky Small Office Security when the operating system is upgraded

If you have upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 or later, or Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 or later and have started Kaspersky Small Office Security for the first time, the application has the following limitations:

• File Anti-Virus is running in normal mode. Other protection components are not running.
• On-demand scan is not performed.
• Self-Defense of files and the registry is performed in normal mode. Self-Defense of processes is not performed.
• The Kaspersky Small Office Security interface is not available. Threats are automatically processed.

After you have upgraded the operating system, Kaspersky Small Office Security notifies you about the limitations of protection, adapts itself to the new operating system, and prompts you to restart the system when the adaptation process completes. After the operating system is restarted, Kaspersky Small Office Security resumes normal operation.
