Updating anti-virus databases of the application
By default, Kaspersky Security Scan automatically and regularly searches for updates on Kaspersky Lab's update server, and downloads and installs them in background mode.
You can start a manual update at any moment — for example, if, before running a scan, you suspect that your computer was recently infected, or if it has not been connected to the Internet for a while.
To update the anti-virus databases of the application:
- Click the Database Update link in the bottom right corner of the main application window.
The Database Update window opens.
- In the Database Update window, click the Update button.
The update of the anti-virus databases will start.
