Scanning third-party software
Kaspersky Security Scan can use Kaspersky Software Updater to scan for updates of third-party software installed on your computer.
To scan third-party software installed on your computer for updates:
- In the main application window, click the Software Scan button.
The Software Scan window opens.
- Click the relevant button in the Software Scan window.
- If Kaspersky Software Updater is not installed on your computer, click the Download now button.
Kaspersky Software Updater starts to download and install. Following installation, you will be prompted to scan third-party software on your computer for updates recommended by Kaspersky Lab.
- If Kaspersky Software Updater is installed on your computer, click the Run now button.
The application window opens and a scan of third-party software on the computer begins for updates recommended by Kaspersky Lab.
- If Kaspersky Software Updater is not installed on your computer, click the Download now button.
If relevant updates are detected, Kaspersky Software Updater prompts you to update third-party software installed on your computer.
