Hardware and software requirements

Kaspersky Security Scan has the following hardware and software requirements:

• General requirements:
  • 480 MB free disk space on the hard drive.
  • Internet connection (for installing the application and updating databases and software modules)
  • Microsoft Windows Installer 3.0 or later
• Requirements for Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 3 or later), Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3 or later), and Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (Service Pack 2 or later):
  • 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) Intel Pentium 800 MHz processor or higher (or compatible equivalent)
  • 512 MB RAM
