Restoring the Integration Server and Integration Server Console using the wizard

You can use the Kaspersky Security Components Installation Wizard to restore a removed Windows-based Integration Server and Integration Server Console version 6.3.

The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2, 4.7, or 4.8 is required for the Kaspersky Security components installation wizard. You can install the Microsoft .NET Framework platform in advance, or the Kaspersky Security Component Installation Wizard will suggest installing it during the restoration of Kaspersky Security solution components. Internet access is required to install Microsoft .NET Framework. If there are any problems with the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework, make sure that Windows updates KB2919442 and KB2919355 have been installed on the device.

Depending on the availability of Kaspersky Security Center components installed on the device, the following operations are performed once restoration is started:

When you restore the Integration Server, the data kept while removing the Integration Server can be used.

You can restore the Windows-based Integration Server and the Integration Server Console in interactive mode or in silent mode.

To start the restoration procedure in interactive mode:

On the device where Administration Console and Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server are installed, run the ksvla-components_<solution version number>_mlg.exe file with the /repair option. This file is included in the distribution kit.

Kaspersky Security components installation Wizard starts. Follow the wizard instructions. Restoration in interactive mode is performed in the same way as installation in interactive mode.

To start the restoration procedure in silent mode, run the following command and specify the following mandatory options:

ksvla-components_<solution version number>_mlg.exe -q /repair --lang=<language ID of installed components> --accept-EulaAndPrivacyPolicy=yes --viisPass=<Integration Server administrator password>

Restoration in silent mode is performed in the same way as installation in silent mode. If you want to use the administrator password that was saved when uninstalling the Integration Server, do not specify the --viisPass option.

After restoration of the Integration Server Console is complete, in Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console, in the workspace of the Administration Server <server name> node on the Monitoring tab, the Deployment section displays a Manage Kaspersky Security for Virtualization <version number> Light Agent link.
