External Device Scan

The devices that you connect to the computer may contain viruses or other applications that present a threat. Kaspersky Total Security scans connected devices to prevent your computer from becoming infected. You can configure the scan of external devices to be started manually or automatically when you connect the device to a computer. Automatic scanning of external devices is enabled by default.

To enable manual scanning of a connected device, perform the following actions:

1. Open the main application window.
2. Click the Scan button.

   The Scan window opens.

3. In the Scan window tick the External Device Scan section.
4. In the drop-down list, select the drive letter of the external device and click on the Run scan button.

Kaspersky Total Security will start scanning the connected device.
